Braunton Burrows are originally named after the Normans the Braunton Burrows are one of the largest areas of sand dunes remaining in Great Britain and famous internationally for its picturesque walks, plants, wildlife and birds. The Tarka Trail starts in Braunton and follows the estuary up stream. Home to Tiki, Second Skin and Salt Rock, and has a variety of surfing shops, takeaways, food shops, restaurants, character pubs, Tourist Information Centre, Museum and the museum of British Surfing.
